Kitty Card & Pup Card for Family Members

These are the last of my Christmas posts.  I was slow in getting these cards done so I wanted to make sure they had them in hand before posting.  I don't use non-Stampin' Up! products very often. I love the matchy matchy that they have and it makes coordinating everything so much easier.  Sometimes I happen upon a great stamp that is perfect for a family member.

The first card is one for my daughter Stephanie.  She lives in Georgia and was married on October 21.  She and her husband have 4 cats.  While "babysitting" for them to go on their honeymoon, I popped over to a wonderful paper crafting store in Norcross called Impressive Ideas.

Impressive Ideas has an informational website HERE.  If you are ever in the Atlanta area, make sure you go check out their store! Be sure to allow a long time to spend in there!   It is huge and filled with so many products that it is mind boggling!  The employees are so sweet too. It is so different than going in one of the "big box" craft stores.

Back to the card.  While in Impressive Ideas, I saw the perfect Christmas card stamp for my daughter!  I had to get the cat stamp and the sentiment too!  It's Stephanie's cat Abi - sort of.   Devon Rex cats have a very unique look.  Abi has such a funny personality too!  She "beeps" instead of a meow. It's so cute!

The Cat stamp is called Santa Cat by Impressive Obsession and the Humbug stamp is by the same company. I've colored it with a combination of Copic markers and the Stampin' Up! Stampin' Blends markers.

This is my reference photo I used for Abi.

Stephanie sent me this photo of Abi checking out her Christmas Card

The other family card that I made with a Non-Stampin' Up! stamp was for my Mom.  I've been searching for a few years for the perfect pekingese stamp and finally found one during an internet search a few months ago. I saved it for her Christmas card and used the Stampin' Up! Santa Paws stamp set to use for the inside message. Happy Christmas is from the Stampin' Up! stamp set called Oh, What Fun

My Mom has a Pekingese named Nipper.  He is her little buddy.
You can bet he will always be close by her.
He has a cute personality and is usually bouncing around and smiling.

This is a photo of Nipper.
He is jet black, but like me, he's got a bit of gray in there too.
See!  I told you he smiles!

Have a safe New Years Eve!

Cards from Friends & Christmas Tags

It is always extra special to receive handmade cards from my customers and friends.  Because I know these ladies have very little spare time for crafting they are extra special.

The first card is from Sandee.  I love metallics on Christmas cards!

Shannon put something extra special that she put in everyone's card.
Check out the second photo for a close up view.

Those are my horses in the photo!  Shannon took the photo from my personal facebook page, and printed a tiny one for the card!  Every person on her card list had a personalized photo as the picture on the wall on their card!   How cool is that!

Handmade tags on a gift adds a special touch!
These are Christmas gift tags that I had as a free project for my customers at our December Open Stampin' & Photo Album Day.
I made extra of each to have ready for next year!

Christmas Shoebox Swap Cards

Some of my customers joined me in a Shoebox Swap.  We each brought all the pre-cut pieces and supplies for a Christmas card in a shoebox (or similar container) and made each of the cards.

I always love doing these type card swaps with my customers!
Below are the cards that we made.

Under each card I'll list any products from the Holiday Catalog that were used.
Most of these are only available through January 3 or while supplies last.
Order any that you'd like asap!

Christmas Class Projects! Ho! Ho! Ho!

I'm soooo behind in posting the Holiday projects from my classes and other projects so for the next few days, I'll get some of them posted.

The first set of photos are the cards from a Christmas Card class

Santa! Ho! Ho! Ho!

The first card is my favorite.
Not only is it a shaker card, but it is also a gift card holder!

Cutting Dimensions
Real Red Cardstock:
 (1) 4 1/4" x 11".  Score at 1 1/4" & 5 1/2"  and (1) 4" x 4"
Whisper White Cardstock:
(1) 4" x 5 1/4" (inside stamping piece)  (1) 4" x 4" (use for die cutting the Santa front)
Basic Black Cardstock:
(1) 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" (inside layer)  (1) 4 1/8" x 4 1/8" (card front layer)
Window Sheet:  4" x 4"
Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper:  Scraps pieces (use for die cutting Santa's hat fur & stars)

Inside the front flap is the pocket to hold a gift card.
If you don't need a gift card holder, you can simply make the base a little shorter and not include the gift card flap on the end.

Metallic Snowflakes

When I saw Carolyn King's metallic snowflake card here, I knew I wanted to CASE it.  I cut my paper at a steeper angle and used a different sentiment.
It's a simple card but packs a huge WOW factor with the metallic paper and heat embossing.

Cutting Dimensions
Heavy Whisper White:  11" x 4 1/4"  Score at 5 1/2"
Year of Cheer Designer Series paper:  5 1/2" x 4 1/4" - cut in half (can make 2 cards!)
Gold Foil Sheets:
1/4' x 6" (trim ends after adhering to the card front)
Scrap pieces for die cutting snowflakes
Whisper White Cardstock:  Scrap piece for die cutting the snowflake

Warm Winter Mittens

I LOVE these mitten dies!  They are so much fun and have so many variations!
I cased this card from another demonstrator's blog.  I'm sure I have it on a Pinterest board and now can't find it.  Do you go back to find your pins and can't find them?  If I find it, I'll come back in to edit the post to give her credit.

Cutting Dimensions
Cherry Cobbler Cardstock:
Card Base-8 1/2" x 5 1/2" score at 4 1/4"
 5 1/2" x 1"  (for the punched scallop edge)
(2) 3 1'2" x 5"  (use to die cut the mittens top layer)
Scraps to punch the holly berries
Crumb Cake:
5 1/4' x 4"  (card front)
(2) 3 1'2" x 5"  (use to die cut the mittens bottom layer)
Garden Green Cardstock:  Scraps for punching holly leaves
Very Vanilla:  5 1/2" x 1 1/2"  (for stamped banner)
Quilted Christmas Designer Series Paper:  5 1/4" x 2"

Gift Card/Treat Favor

This little triangle box is so stinkin' cute and super easy to make!
I found directions on Sam Hammond's blog.  She calls it a "tent box".   If you ever have need of a small gift box or a cute box to hold a gift card, this is perfect!  It is great for filling with a bit of candy too!

Before sliding on the cover, the inside box can be filled with candy, a small gift or a gift card.

UPDATE To Stamparatus Pre-Order Procedure

Reserve YOURS Beginning December 5

From Stampin' Up!
CHANGE IN STAMPARATUS RESERVATION WINDOWS
The results are in! The first Stamparatus reservation window reached its maximum number of reservations in just 15 minutes, which provided us with some very important information: You LOVE this new stamping tool! We couldn’t be more thrilled; in fact, your response was so amazing that we’ve decided to make some important adjustments to the reservation process.
As was previously announced, the second reservation window will remain open from December 5–30; however, during this reservation period we will take as many orders as we receive (yay!) and not close the window until December 30. So whether the total number of reservations is 100 or 100,000, the window will stay open!

Please note the following changes:
  • Beginning March 19, we will ship Stamparatuses in the order the reservations were received (first in, first out) and continue through the next few months and beyond as product arrives in our warehouse. Because shipment dates are based on manufacturing lead times, not all of the reservations made during the December 5–30 window will ship on March 19 (as was previously announced).
  • In order to accommodate demand, limits have changed as follows: one reservation per customer and one per demonstrator.
  • Because we are not limiting the maximum number of reservations for the second window, we will not offer a third window. This is the last chance for you and your customers to reserve a Stamparatus before it becomes available in the 2018-2019 annual catalog.
  • The reservation window will open at 2:00 PM (MT) on December 5. (4PM Eastern Time)
We can’t wait for you to get your hands on your very own Stamparatus and look forward to seeing the projects you’ll make with this incredible stamping tool.

If  you've not seen WHAT this awesome tool can do, here is a video to give you tell you about some of the features.

HOW do you reserve (pre-order) your Stamparatus?
Easy Peasy!
  • Go to my Stampin' Up! my Stampin' Up! website (click here)  beginning 4pm Eastern Time December 5
  • Click on the "Shop Now" tab at the top of the page
  • Click on the link for Stamparatus Reservations
  • Fill in the form and submit it.*
  • All done!
*You will need a credit/debit card to reserve your Stamparatus BUT it will not be charged until it is actually shipped from Stampin' Up! When your Stamparatus is received at Stampin' Up!, you will be contacted and given the opportunity to add to your order so that you may take advantage of any specials at the time.

Thanksgiving Favors & Cards

I finally did it!
I finished a complete Paper Pumpkin kit!

I know.  It is sooo bad of me to collect these kits and never put them together. I really do like them. I just keep putting them on the back burner when other projects jump ahead of them.

I LOVE this kit!
I loved it so much that I used leftover paper and decorated a couple of Mini Pizza Boxes to hold the 3x3 cards and envelopes. I even used one of the boxed sets as a door prize at my class last week.

This was the October 2017 Paper Pumpkin Kit.  Although this Paper Pumpkin kit is no longer available, you can sign up so you won't miss any of the upcoming new ones HERE

And....I used another Paper Pumpkin kit (October 2016) and altered it slightly for my family Thanksgiving Cards.
This was another great kit!
This is my final card.

I'm on a roll!  This makes two Paper Pumpkin kits that I've completed! Oh Yea!
