Happy Cats

This card is for my daughter and her husband.  They have four cats that all have unique personalities and are all wonderful furbabies.  I made this card for them "just because".  Their love for each other & their cats is obvious to anyone who is around them.

I cased this card from Su Mohr. The only noticeable difference is that I turned the cats so that their tails would link. I didn't have the stamp set to print the sentiment so I used my computer and the RGB code for Rich Razzleberry to print it on Whisper White cardstock and punched it out.

All of the papers I used are retired except the Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White card stocks. The current colors just didn't seem to work with the gingham cats and I really wanted to use the gingham papers from the retired Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper.  Hopefully you have a bit of a paper stash too.   If you don't have the exact papers, this card is easy to recreate with other papers.

To make the little balls of yarn, I put a Stampin' Dimensional on the cardstock and wrapped the metallic bakers twine around on top of it. Using two pieces of the metallic bakers twine, I tied a bow around the tails.

Anything But The Holidays Blog Hop - Cat Sympathy Card

Welcome to the Anything But The Holidays Blog Hop!
Today we will be featuring products from the upcoming Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog.
All products will be used to make projects that are NOT holiday oriented.
This is a great opportunity to get ideas for year-round use of products that are usually used for the holidays. It's a great way to stretch your dollar!

My daughter recently lost one of her cats to illness.  He was the first cat that she adopted as an adult that was solely hers.  She called him her "first son".  He was a wonderful loving boy.  When I saw the Cat Punch in the Holiday Catalog I knew it would be one of the items on my pre-order.

There are 4 NEW PRODUCTS from the Holiday Catalog used in this card!
