Anything But A Card Blog Hop-VALENTINE FAVORS!

This month's blog hop is all about Anything But A Card.
You will get lots of inspiration from these ladies!  Be sure to click through the entire blog hop and leave some comments for everyone.

At the bottom of my post are the products used in my two projects.

For my projects I decided to make a couple of valentine favors.  They are made so that they can also be used for year round use because there are no Valentine sentiments on them.

For the first project I used one of the Mini Pizza Boxes.
They are so cute and versatile!  They are food safe so you can include food goodies inside if you wish.  They are also perfect for a little set of 3x3 cards.

I first cut layers of paper for the top & sides. I used the bright and beautiful Painted With Love Designer Series Paper, layered on Melon Mambo Cardstock and Gold Foil Sheets.

The gold floral heart from the Ribbon of Courage stamp set is heat embossed using Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder and then colored with Stampin' Write Markers.  I used the Old Olive, Melon Mambo & Rich Razzleberry Markers.

The hearts are cut using the Sweet & Sassy Framelits dies & the Support Ribbon Thinlits dies and popped up with dimensionals. I love the super sweet Gold Mini Sequin Trim!  I added that to the top of the box along with some 1/8" Gold Ribbon using Glue Dots.

For my second project I finally used one of the mini coffee cups that I ordered a couple of years ago.  I love those things!  They are so stinkin' cute!

I made the little coffee cup favor to coordinate with my little pizza box favor.
For the top circle I used the Seaside Textured Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of the Gold Foil Sheets.  I then punched out a circle using the 1 1/2" circle punch.  It is attached to the cup lid using Glue Dots. I then added an embossed & colored heart to the top using Stampin' Dimensionals.

The sentiment on the small heart on the stir stick is from the Wood Words stamp set. I heat embossed in gold on Melon Mambo Cardstock and cut it using the heart from the coordinating Crate Thinlits and attached it to the stir stick with Glue Dots.   The tiny heart is cut using the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits and attached to the Melon Mambo heart with a Glue Dot.

The wrap for the mini coffee cup is made using a template that I found on Deb Valder's Blog years ago.  It works perfectly!
You can order the mini coffee cups and lids from The Webstaurant Store.

Hop on over to all the blogs and check out the great projects!

Christmas Class Projects! Ho! Ho! Ho!

I'm soooo behind in posting the Holiday projects from my classes and other projects so for the next few days, I'll get some of them posted.

The first set of photos are the cards from a Christmas Card class

Santa! Ho! Ho! Ho!

The first card is my favorite.
Not only is it a shaker card, but it is also a gift card holder!

Cutting Dimensions
Real Red Cardstock:
 (1) 4 1/4" x 11".  Score at 1 1/4" & 5 1/2"  and (1) 4" x 4"
Whisper White Cardstock:
(1) 4" x 5 1/4" (inside stamping piece)  (1) 4" x 4" (use for die cutting the Santa front)
Basic Black Cardstock:
(1) 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" (inside layer)  (1) 4 1/8" x 4 1/8" (card front layer)
Window Sheet:  4" x 4"
Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper:  Scraps pieces (use for die cutting Santa's hat fur & stars)

Inside the front flap is the pocket to hold a gift card.
If you don't need a gift card holder, you can simply make the base a little shorter and not include the gift card flap on the end.

Metallic Snowflakes

When I saw Carolyn King's metallic snowflake card here, I knew I wanted to CASE it.  I cut my paper at a steeper angle and used a different sentiment.
It's a simple card but packs a huge WOW factor with the metallic paper and heat embossing.

Cutting Dimensions
Heavy Whisper White:  11" x 4 1/4"  Score at 5 1/2"
Year of Cheer Designer Series paper:  5 1/2" x 4 1/4" - cut in half (can make 2 cards!)
Gold Foil Sheets:
1/4' x 6" (trim ends after adhering to the card front)
Scrap pieces for die cutting snowflakes
Whisper White Cardstock:  Scrap piece for die cutting the snowflake

Warm Winter Mittens

I LOVE these mitten dies!  They are so much fun and have so many variations!
I cased this card from another demonstrator's blog.  I'm sure I have it on a Pinterest board and now can't find it.  Do you go back to find your pins and can't find them?  If I find it, I'll come back in to edit the post to give her credit.

Cutting Dimensions
Cherry Cobbler Cardstock:
Card Base-8 1/2" x 5 1/2" score at 4 1/4"
 5 1/2" x 1"  (for the punched scallop edge)
(2) 3 1'2" x 5"  (use to die cut the mittens top layer)
Scraps to punch the holly berries
Crumb Cake:
5 1/4' x 4"  (card front)
(2) 3 1'2" x 5"  (use to die cut the mittens bottom layer)
Garden Green Cardstock:  Scraps for punching holly leaves
Very Vanilla:  5 1/2" x 1 1/2"  (for stamped banner)
Quilted Christmas Designer Series Paper:  5 1/4" x 2"

Gift Card/Treat Favor

This little triangle box is so stinkin' cute and super easy to make!
I found directions on Sam Hammond's blog.  She calls it a "tent box".   If you ever have need of a small gift box or a cute box to hold a gift card, this is perfect!  It is great for filling with a bit of candy too!

Before sliding on the cover, the inside box can be filled with candy, a small gift or a gift card.

Thanksgiving Favors & Cards

I finally did it!
I finished a complete Paper Pumpkin kit!

I know.  It is sooo bad of me to collect these kits and never put them together. I really do like them. I just keep putting them on the back burner when other projects jump ahead of them.

I LOVE this kit!
I loved it so much that I used leftover paper and decorated a couple of Mini Pizza Boxes to hold the 3x3 cards and envelopes. I even used one of the boxed sets as a door prize at my class last week.

This was the October 2017 Paper Pumpkin Kit.  Although this Paper Pumpkin kit is no longer available, you can sign up so you won't miss any of the upcoming new ones HERE

And....I used another Paper Pumpkin kit (October 2016) and altered it slightly for my family Thanksgiving Cards.
This was another great kit!
This is my final card.

I'm on a roll!  This makes two Paper Pumpkin kits that I've completed! Oh Yea!

Cat Card and Test Tube Favors

I was going through my project photos and realized I'd not posted these.
These are the two free projects I provided for my customers to make at our last October Open  Stampin' & Photo Album Day.

I LOVE this Cat Punch and the Spooky Cat Designer Series Paper!  Don't you just love that the cat is sitting in a tree?!

The White Perfect Accent was colored with a metallic Sharpie pen.

The awesome Test Tubes can be used for great treat favors!
