Stampin' Fun With Friends

Each month, I host an Open Stampin' and Photo Album Day in my craft room.  We always have a great time enjoying the snacks the ladies bring and working on stamping projects.  I usually have a free project prepared for everyone to make. This month I had 2 projects!

The first project was a card that I previously posted on my blog. Coloring the flowers was a hands on introduction to the Stampin' Blends.

You Can see my original post with information for the Daffodil Card HERE

The second project I had prepared for the ladies to make was a calendar easel card.  I love these little calendars and the size easel card that Sandra Ronald featured on her blog is perfect.  You can even mail them!  I used her base size and adjusted the layers a little bit.

After all the snow & cold, we've had temperatures in the upper 70's this past week. I am soooo ready for spring!  As I went through my designer series papers, I spotted the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper. Perfect for bright springy desk calendars!

They were so QUICK to make!  Having the Daisy Delight stamp set & coordinating Daisy punch makes it super easy to coordinate everything!  I made a sample and pulled out paper and a variety of accessories that the ladies could choose from to personalize their calendar easel cards.

Cutting Dimensions
Calendar Base:  Cut 9 1/4" x 4 3/4".  Score at 3 3/8", 6 3/4", 7 3/4" & 8 3/4"

RemARKably Created Blog Tour - Daffodils!

It's great to be participating in the RemARKably Creative Blog Tour again!
This month we are featuring projects that use a mix of products from both the Occasions Catalog & the Annual Catalog.
Click through the tour to check out the great creations being shared today!

INSPIRING DAFFODILS
My project for the blog tour features the beautiful daffodils from the You're Inspiring stamp set from the Occasions Catalog.   I am past ready for the daffodils to make an appearance!  I am not a cold weather loving person!

I also used some of the new Whisper White 1/4" Organza Ribbon. This is my current "go to" ribbon!
There are so many possibilities with this ribbon because it can be colored with the Stampin' Blends or Stampin' Write Markers!

In addition to Old Olive, Whisper White & Daffodil Delight cardstock,  the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder & Lots of Labels Framelits were used from the 2017-18 Annual Catalog.

Stampin' Blends were used to color the flowers.  The daffodils are so fun to color with the Stampin' Blends alcohol markers!  Although the Stampin' Blends are on page 30 & 31 in the Occasions Catalog, they were actually released a bit earlier than the catalog.

The Stampin' Blends colors I used are:
Old Olive-Light & Dark
Daffodil Delight-Light & Dark00
Pumpkin Pie-Light & Dark
Smoky Slate-Light
The ground was colored using Crumb Cake ink and an Aqua Pen

A portion of the smaller daffodils stamp was used for the inside and colored the same way as the larger flowers on the front of the card.

For instruction on how I colored the daffodils, watch this video by Stampin' Up!

Anything But A Card Blog Hop-VALENTINE FAVORS!

This month's blog hop is all about Anything But A Card.
You will get lots of inspiration from these ladies!  Be sure to click through the entire blog hop and leave some comments for everyone.

At the bottom of my post are the products used in my two projects.

For my projects I decided to make a couple of valentine favors.  They are made so that they can also be used for year round use because there are no Valentine sentiments on them.

For the first project I used one of the Mini Pizza Boxes.
They are so cute and versatile!  They are food safe so you can include food goodies inside if you wish.  They are also perfect for a little set of 3x3 cards.

I first cut layers of paper for the top & sides. I used the bright and beautiful Painted With Love Designer Series Paper, layered on Melon Mambo Cardstock and Gold Foil Sheets.

The gold floral heart from the Ribbon of Courage stamp set is heat embossed using Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder and then colored with Stampin' Write Markers.  I used the Old Olive, Melon Mambo & Rich Razzleberry Markers.

The hearts are cut using the Sweet & Sassy Framelits dies & the Support Ribbon Thinlits dies and popped up with dimensionals. I love the super sweet Gold Mini Sequin Trim!  I added that to the top of the box along with some 1/8" Gold Ribbon using Glue Dots.

For my second project I finally used one of the mini coffee cups that I ordered a couple of years ago.  I love those things!  They are so stinkin' cute!

I made the little coffee cup favor to coordinate with my little pizza box favor.
For the top circle I used the Seaside Textured Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of the Gold Foil Sheets.  I then punched out a circle using the 1 1/2" circle punch.  It is attached to the cup lid using Glue Dots. I then added an embossed & colored heart to the top using Stampin' Dimensionals.

The sentiment on the small heart on the stir stick is from the Wood Words stamp set. I heat embossed in gold on Melon Mambo Cardstock and cut it using the heart from the coordinating Crate Thinlits and attached it to the stir stick with Glue Dots.   The tiny heart is cut using the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits and attached to the Melon Mambo heart with a Glue Dot.

The wrap for the mini coffee cup is made using a template that I found on Deb Valder's Blog years ago.  It works perfectly!
You can order the mini coffee cups and lids from The Webstaurant Store.

Hop on over to all the blogs and check out the great projects!
